A Chiang Mai pre-session ritual that fits tight mornings

A twenty-minute planning ritual for traders in Thailand who need risk rules before the open without a long desk routine.

Between traffic, remote calls, and SET hours, many traders here skip the plan and “just look.” The ritual below keeps risk-managed trade planning under twenty minutes.

The twenty-minute board

  • Minutes 0–5 — Write today’s risk unit and maximum ideas (usually one).
  • Minutes 5–12 — Mark bias and invalidation on the working timeframe; ignore lower noise.
  • Minutes 12–18 — Fill entry checks and size on the plan sheet.
  • Minutes 18–20 — Read the sheet once aloud. If any line is vague, you are flat until it is not.

Keep the sheet beside the keyboard. When the urge to move a stop appears, the paper is harder to negotiate with than a memory of “being careful.”
